由此而产生了这个习惯用语: fly by the seat of ones pants。 例句-1:When I set up business in Vietnam I had to fly by the seat of my pants. I didnt know anybody, couldnt speak the language and had to learn the local business situation in a hurry. 所以to fly by the seat of ones pants解释在没有客观依据、茫无头绪的情况下只得摸索行事。 这是一家公司的负责人在谈论他们企业的业务倒退:例句-2:Its not good news -- our profits took a real nose dive the last couple of months. In fact theyre down about 50 percent from the same time last year. 例句-3:My uncle has made millions playing the stock market. But he says its time to bail out and sell his shares -- the market is as high as it will go, and prices will nose dive by fall. /201205/182277

We didnt discuss you at all, as a matter of fact. Li: So in that first example, the man couldnt order his computers yet because the company hadnt agreed a budget. He had to wait; he had to hold his horses. William: Hmm. And in the second example it was slightly different. In that clip we heard a woman interrupt the man because she thought she knew what he was going to say. Li: Ah yes, the man told her to hold her horse and wait for him to finish speaking. William: Ah, yeah, but Li we never say ;Hold your horse; we always say ;Hold your horses;. Hold your horses。Li: Oh OK, Ill bear it in mind. But, er, Will...? 威廉:什么?Li: Can you hold this for me please?

I told her that due to the dominance of Confucianism for almost 2000 years, Chinese people tend to be very introverted. I consider myself to be pretty extroverted, without a need to constantly have a friend to talk to. 比如说:He is an introvert.
